What’s on this Weekend

Northside Produce Market

Farmers Markets

Delicious food meets amazing people…

Expect to meet the person who has picked the apple, seasoned the trout, melted the caramel, rolled the pasta, plucked the chicken, pulled the potato or milked the goat.

Bringing fresh produce to Sydney we continue to be in awe of the passion, dedication and enthusiasm of stallholders who travel up to six hours on the

first and third Saturday (8am to 12 noon) of every month

to bring you the freshest produce in town – rain, hail or shine! In its relaxed park setting, this is one of Sydney’s favourite markets, with a loyal foodie following…

We regularly run – free behind-the-scenes tours.

Check out the markets on Facebook – @nthsydmkts

Bag depot – ditch the plastic bags and use or drop-off free cloth bags.

Butterflies Up Close

Why do we get butterflies in our stomachs?

At one with the butterflies

As part of the new floral display, Pollination at The Calyx, children will be able to get up close with a variety of butterflies.

The immersive butterfly encounter includes an introduction to butterfly species and their role in pollinating our plants and flowers before entering the butterfly house to feed the butterflies.

This is a great learning experience for kids as well as the perfect photo opportunity for parents to capture a memorable moment with butterflies landing on the lucky ones.

Sessions are available every 15 minutes during the opening hours.  Bookings are required.

Where: The Royal Botanic Garden, Mrs Macquaries Rd, Sydney

When: Sunday the 17th , 10.30am to 1.15pm

Carriageworks Farmers’ Market

I am obsessed with the spring greens and spring shades of @navanel's photography. Sure he hasn't posted in a month, but his feed is a wealth of luscious life and goodness. @buyfolk @folkmagazine #liveauthentic
