From 6.30pm, jingle all the way from Pitt Street Mall to Martin Place with roaming entertainers, roller-skating baubles, magicians, carolling choirs, and of course, Santa in his reindeer-led tricycle sleigh. The jolly man in red will be in his element amongst onlookers as he rides around wishing and bellowing out to all a Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas.

See the magic of the magnificent Christmas tree in Martin Place when it lights up for the first time this season with a kaleidoscope of colours, decorative lights (over 110,000 of them) and glossy baubles. Additionally, the tree’s 800 branches will be dressed with 15,000 flowers that include banksias, waratahs, wattle, kangaroo paw, flannel and wax flowers. A dazzling sound and light show will take place every 15minutes from 7.30pm and brilliant fireworks will further light up the night.

A dance floor and pop-up stages on King Street and in Pitt Street Mall will see the likes of children’s entertainers Jimmy Giggle, Justine Clarke, SplashDance and The Nannas & The Poppas partying with you.

Shopping-wise, there’s plenty to spend your money on. KISS 106.5 radio is bringing everyone’s favourite Christmas tradition at the beach to the heart of the CBD’s retail precinct with an array of goods and gifts. Special Santa stockings packed with goodies will be on sale for $5, with proceeds going to the Surf Life Saving NSW charity. Large retailers Westfields, David Jones and Myer will be open until 7pm.

Special activations and offers will abound too. Microsoft will have an activation of fun activities with their latest Xbox games and ornament gifts, whilst Jurlique skincare and beauty products will have a Glow Bar pop-up offering complimentary hand massages, samples and Christmas gift packs for sale. The young ones will love the Dr Seuss photo opportunities with sculptures from the popular books, free stickers and craft.

Plenty of food options will be at your disposal throughout the event, including the GPO Dessert Bar pop-up returning to Martin Place with its sweets and treats in the form of gelato and delicious cakes. They’ll also have some savoury delights, along with coffee and cold beverages.

So dust off your reindeer ears, put on your party shoes and kick into Christmas mode as you won’t want to miss this merrymaking.
