As the Crows Nest Fest is not going ahead this year due to COVID, Crows Nest is planning a weekend of online and interactive activations and welcoming all to come and connect with the community.
“Back to the Nest”
As well as the launch of the www.crows-nest.com.au site and the new Crows Nest branding, there will be deals and promotions to be enjoyed at the local businesses.
There will be creative activations including live murals. We are really excited to be welcoming Sophi Odling and Wolf and Kitten duo Dolan Reskov and Juliette Reskov who will be creating 2 murals which will come to life over the two days and will inject art into the suburb. The briefs for the murals have been the words – Connection, Culture, Creativity, Cuisine, Community, Cafes, Collaboration – which are part of our rebranding and are words that represent the suburb.
There will also be chalk art created by Zest Events and buskers for patrons to enjoy while they enjoy all that Crows Nest has to offer – retail, health and beauty, cafes, restaurants – many independent businesses.
As a Covid safe event, businesses will be observing their usual covid plans and there will be Covid marshalls ensuring social distancing and providing hand sanitiser if required.
